Heart to Heart

HEART TO HEART is on call 24 hours a day everyday of the year that is not a Shabbos or Yom Tov. Many parents who have kept their children who initially wanted to give up have written to the organization years later expressing thanks and gratitude for saving them from making a tragic decision and for encouraging them to keep their child(ren).

An Evening with Heart to Heart

On Sunday evening Heart to Heart hosted Mrs. Chaya Malka Abramson author of "Who by Fire."  It was a very inspirational event hosted by Mrs. Chana Goldstock, Administrator and founder of the organization, and was emceed by Mrs. Siggy Berger of Passaic, NJ, who is a Heart to Heart regional director.
Everyone who attended remained for several hours after the formal portion of the program concluded socializing, sharing and enhancing the sense of the "heimishkite" that everyone shared that they experienced.

The Gali Girl Doll that was raffled off and was won by Freidy Kagan.

Heart to Heart

Others who adopted a child have called to express their gratitude for having given them back their lives. The acceptance of children with disabilities in the orthodox Jewish milieu is in no small part due to the tireless and devoted efforts on the part of the staff and families of HEART TO HEART.

Heart to Heart provides counseling services and follow up to families in crisis. The services are provided when they are needed which is not always convenient. The necessity and the timing are the key to success as is the tireless care and sensitivity provided by our highly professional, competent and caring staff.

All of our thanks and gratitude to Dr. Gerald David, who as a forensic psychologist helped us and prepared us to realize our dream by making it a reality.

And a special Yoshar Koach to Tanchum Ginsberg, MD, A"H (Teddy) who served as our first medical director and spent many hours going over children's charts and successfully finding potential and existing conflicts in treatment. And to Teddy's daughter Lori who grew up with Autism and offered us all so many insights into the minds eye of the autistic child.
